BÜLENT GÜNERALP ONLINE VOICE STUDIO
ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
All lessons are conducted online via Zoom.
Please read the 4-step orientation below in the order presented, then reply to the questionnaire at the bottom.
STEP 1 — YOUR JOURNEY STARTS
The Welcome / Orientation Meeting
Conducted after enrollment, this is a friendly chat where the student shares their background and goals, and I explain how the studio works and answer any questions. At the end of the meeting, we schedule the Introductory Lesson for a separate day.
The Introductory Lesson
90 minutes, suitable for adults and children alike. In the first hour I teach the fundamentals of vocal technique with The Vocathletic System™. In the final 30 minutes we put them into practice through specific vocal exercises, along with some ear training and a check of the student's range.
The Next Lesson
Students learn the Vocathletic Workout. I recommend scheduling this within a week or two of the Introductory Lesson.
The Vocathletic Workout
A set sequence of vocal and physical exercises, much like a kata in the martial arts. Students do the Workout at the start of every lesson, like a quick hello. It ultimately takes just a few minutes. I recommend doing it every day.
Regular Lessons
The first half of the lesson is for technical work, and the second half is for repertoire. Students may bring repertoire from any genre, or any speaking material.
Lesson Length
After the Introductory Lesson, students are welcome to choose any lesson length. I recommend 60 minutes, or 45 at minimum, though shorter lessons suit some students and some goals.
Practice
Half an hour a day is a good target for beginners, and a short practice is far better than none.
Recordings
Every lesson is recorded for the student's private study. Recordings cannot be made public without the mutual permission of teacher and student.
STEP 2 — SCHEDULING
Students receive view-only access to the studio Google Calendar.
Students may choose a recurring schedule or call to arrange lessons whenever they wish. A steady lesson schedule matters more than a frequent one, and meeting more than once a week is rarely necessary.
Weekly lessons work best in the early weeks, until the foundational material is in place. After that, most students settle into a rhythm that suits them.
Students on a recurring schedule reserve their lessons on a monthly basis. All lessons are paid for in advance.
For scheduling, rescheduling, or cancellations, please call 617-863-7379.
Regular teaching hours: 3pm–9pm EST, daily
Lessons outside regular teaching hours may be arranged on a case-by-case basis to accommodate special circumstances or students in different time zones
