Performing Some Enchanted Evening and This Nearly Was Mine at the historic USS Salem on May 9, 2009 in the first-ever maritime festival of Quincy, titled "Making Waves in Quincy Point - Salute to Shipbuilders and Sailors". The festival included a welcome speech by Rev. Ann Suzedell, presentation of the Colors by the USS Constitution Navy Guard, dedication of the anchor of the USS Des Moines, performances by the US Navy Band Northeast Top Brass Quintet, remarks by the Mayor of the City of Quincy, Thomas Koch (seen above), presentation of Citation to the guests of honor, Shane Murphy, 1st mate of Maersk Alabama and family, a musical tribute by Mr. Güneralp with selections from Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, and a celebratory speech by Daniel Raymondi, City Councillor of Ward 2. The event was covered by WHDH 7NEWS Boston and Channel 3 Quincy.
